Vocational Training (accredited) Network of Community Activities is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF). National Providor Number: 90537. Vocational Education and Training (VET) is linked to nationally endorsed competency standards in National Training Packages. As an RTO, Network is able to issue a range of Qualifications and Statements of Attainment through training. Accredited Training provides opportunities for participants to either add to their existing qualifications or ‘gap skill' where required if undertaking a recognition pathway. Network has developed a Recognition Pathway for the Out of School Hours Qualifications. Recognition includes Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competency (RCC). RPL allows participants who hold a current qualification that is equivalent to the units for which they seek recognition, to be declared competent. Alternatively participants may provide evidence of a qualification, together with current history of relevant industry experience and a supervisor's report to address any gaps. Where a participant does not hold a qualification, RCC gives them the opportunity to provide examples from their current work that demonstrates sufficient evidence of competence.

These courses will be listed in our Training Brochure.
Network understands how difficult it can be to work and access affordable, relevant training. We have been investigating how to address this imbalance and to encourage OOSH professionals to access our Cert IV and Diploma in OOSH workplace recognition pathways. We are extremely excited to announce that Network as an RTO can now offer Existing Worker Traineeships to approved applicants. The Traineeship payments would be used to fund enrolment in Network’s Certificate IV program. Existing Worker Traineeships give incentive payments to services to help offset the cost of accredited training pathways. What does this mean for you?

Network has received funding from CSCentral to run training for OOSH services. These sessions will be using our existing inservices courses and some newly developed sessions focusing on innovative change in the OOSH sector. These courses will be advertised in Network's own training calendars and also part of the CSCentral training brochure that is sent to all services twice a year. The only difference in accessing this form of training is that services need to book and pay through CSCentral, all other aspects of the training are handled by Network.
