Assistant Co-Ordinator

St Charles Before and After School Care is seeking a motivated, reliable, fun person to Take on the position of Assistant Coordinator!!

We are a medium sized, committee run centre who offers before and after school care for the children of St Charles Primary School. We cater for 35 children in the morning and 40 in the afternoon.

You will be responsible for assisting the Coordinator in all aspects of running the centre with possible further job opportunities available.

A Prohibited Employment Declaration and Working with Children Check will be completed prior to employment. We pay above award wages.

Essential Criteria:

  • A strong interest and desire to work with children
  • Exceptional communication and relational skills with children, parents, school and community
  • A first aid certificate or willingness to undergo training to obtain this
  • Experience with children 5-12 years
  • Relevant qualifications or in the process of working towards relevant qualifications

The Nanyima Centre provides Before and After School Care for Cammeray Public School, we are looking for someone to assist our Co-ordinator with the running of our after school ‘Clubs’ program for children in Years 4-6. You will be responsible for 35 children and two staff. This position may suit someone with teaching experience.

Above award rates apply and morning shifts may be negotiated if desired.

  • Child Care/teaching qualifications or working towards same
  • Experience and knowledge of children in middle childhood

ASSISTANT CO-ORDINATOR

A position exists for a permanent part-time worker in a newly renovated and fully equipped centre at Beverly Hills. We are looking for an energetic, creative and self motivated person who loves working with the school age child to fulfill the position of Assistant Co-odinator. You will be required to work up to 25 hours per week with above award conditions including staff incentives.

The centre operates from 7.00am - 9.00am and 2.30pm - 6.30pm during school term within the grounds of Beverly Hills North Public school with approved places for 60 children in the morning and 60 children in the afternoon. The service also provides Vacation Care from 7.00am - 6.30pm during the school holidays. You will become part of an organisation that has built an excellent reputation for providing quality child care within the local community and places great value on building staff relationships.

Essential criteria:

  • Able to work 2.00pm-6.30pm and some morning sessions

Vacation Care Coordinator

KU North Sydney Vacation Care provides quality holiday programs for children aged 5-12 years.

Operating from 3 North Sydney Council sites the program provides for up to 135 children between 8.00am-6.00pm during School Holiday periods.

The Coordinator will be based at North Sydney Community Centre, providing planning and program coordination for all 3 sites prior to each program and then managing the Community Centre site during each holiday period. The team will include 2 other site coordinators and staff for the daily operations, supported by a KU Area Manager and the resources of KU management teams.

As a part-time position this is equivalent to 20 hrs per week, worked flexibly as 40 hours each holiday period with the remainder to be worked during the year in preparation for each holiday program.

There is an option for the successful candidate to negotiate full time work within the KU organisation or to elect to remain with the permanent part time contract.

You will assist in the provision of developmentally appropriate, creative and stimulating leisure activities for children aged 5 to 12 years.

The role involves before and after school care with split shifts being 7.30 to 9.30 am and 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm Mon to Fri.  Additional hours attract a 25% loading.

You will need:

  1. School Certificate or Higher School Certificate:

  3. An understanding of the leisure needs of primary school children;
  4. Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement;
  5. Awareness of age appropriate behaviour management techniques

Eastwood Heights OOSH is a not for profit organization run by a Management Committee. We are a medium sized OOSH with approximately 65 children attending each afternoon.  We are currently working towards accreditation.

The position involves working a split shift during school terms and would suit someone local.  Shifts are between 7.00-9.00am and 2.30 – 6.00pm. 
We currently do not offer vacation care.

You will need to have the following

  • Love of children
  • Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent) or be partway through completion.
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Good understanding of QA.  Experience in the Accreditation process will be highly regarded.

Epping Heights OOSH is a before and after school care centre and vacation care centre caring for up to 45 children per day. The service is run by a parent committee and Co-ordinator. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Coordinator to assist in the management and running of the centre.
