Duties include:
- Supervising children aged 5 – 12 years

Shift times vary between 7.00am – 9.30am and 2.00pm – 6.00pm Monday to Friday during school terms and between 4 to 8 hours during vacation care. Permanent part-time positions are for 20 hours/week during school terms with the possibility of extending these hours during vacation care.
Selection criteria
- Minimum 1 – 2 years experience working with school age children, preferably within the OOSH environment
- Certificate IV in Children's Services (Outside School Hours Care) - this is a minimum requirement for some positions (other relevant qualifications will also be considered)
- Minimum availability of three afternoon shifts and two morning shifts per week
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain this)
- Proven effective communication skills appropriate to building strong relationships with children, parents and other members of the community
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the planning and implementing of programs for school age children
- Demonstrated ability to implement age appropriate behaviour management strategies
- Proven high level ability to work constructively as part of a team
- Demonstrated knowledge of Child Protection legislation and National Quality Framework

Gladesville Out of School Hours Care is an accredited Centre that operates within the grounds of Gladesville Public School. We are looking for a fulltime Director to manage and work at our Centre.
This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and managing people.
The hours you will be required to work will be Monday to Friday, from 6.30am- 10.00am and 2.00pm-6.00pm. At present, we operate during school terms only, with growth into a vacation care program in the near future.
The Centre caters for 60 children in the morning and 75 children in the afternoon. The Centre is not for profit and run by a supportive volunteer Parent Management Committee (PMC). The Director is responsible for all aspects of managing the Centre including programming, budgeting and payroll, QA, OH&S, staff and caring for the children. The Director is supported by a team including 2 assistant coordinators and is responsible for liaising with the school principal, centre parents and the PMC.
The Centre has incorporated the new framework 'My Time Our Place' into the program and is currently reviewing its quality improvement plan using the new National Quality Framework.
