About Children's Services Central

So who is ‘Children’s Services Central’?

Children’s Services Central is an alliance between 7 organisations who support the child care sector with the provision of resourcing and training. Network is one of those organisations – this means OOSH is represented in this alliance.

So what does the Alliance do?

The Alliance has successfully tendered to be the Professional Support Program for NSW responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of professional support and training across Children’s Services including OOSH.  The Alliance has called this program “Children’s Services Central”. Community Child Care Co-operative is the lead agency in this tender.

What does Children’s Services Central do?

Children’s Services central will provide the co-ordination of professional support delivery (training, and resourcing) across all NSW Children’s Services.

Children’s Services Central will manage the telephone support for services and  engage and manage training providers. Children’s Services central will have a website and a newsletter.

How does this alliance affect Network?

Network manages the calls related to Out of School Hours Services for Children’s Services Central. To access this support you can now call the one toll free number for support and advice 1800 157 818.

Network also delivers funded training and provides individual service support, accreditation support and mentoring to OOSH services. Network has also developed publications on emerging needs in children's services.
